Carson Dalton, Head of Corporate Communications for its India business, was named �Young PR Professional of the Year� at the Asia Pacific PR Awards industry event held in Hong Kong last week. The award was independently judged by a panel of leading senior public relations (PR) practitioners from agency and in-house environments.
The PR Awards in its 8th year represents the highest accolade in the PR industry in Asia. Carson was one of 16 PR professionals who were nominated for the award, which recognises the talent of people aged under 30 across the region.
Carson was nominated for his excellent work in transforming BT's communications effectiveness across India. In particular, his efforts in implementing a PR plan with a business strategy as the core objective, and a strong thought leadership focus, has clearly resulted in a strong return on investment. His work in generating coverage for BT�s global CSR story
has also had a very positive impact for BT�s Indian community investment activities.
