Wipro BPO Receives Prestigious Outsourcing Excellence Award

Wipro BPO, the BPO arm of Wipro Technologies the Global IT Services Division of Wipro Limited (NYSE: WIT), was recently named the 2006 "Best Offshore" in the distinguished Outsourcing Excellence Awards (formerly Editor's Choice Awards). Wipro BPO’s award was based on its partnership with Delta Air Lines, who began their successful relationship in 2002.
A panel of industry experts selected winners of Outsourcing Center's annual awards, sponsored jointly this year by Everest Group and Forbes, after a rigorous review of all components of relationship structures and outcomes achieved among the nominations. This year eight relationships won the coveted awards.
To become a finalist in the Best Offshore category, nominees had to meet the following qualifications: achieve maximum possible scores on the initial relationship evaluation; meet all the criteria for Best Offshore Relationship category; and achieve outstanding strategic value outcomes from their relationship.
In its partnership with Delta, Wipro was able to meet all of these goals. Together the companies have developed a number of innovative solutions that allow Delta Air Lines to effectively manage business processes, meet customer service and quality goals, and achieve its strategic corporate goals.
