An Amul Parlour has been set up at India's premier management institute – the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. In keeping with the objective of setting up exclusive Amul parlours in institutes of excellence, IIM, Ahmedabad has been chosen as the latest venue. The parlour was inaugurated on Monday,6th November 06, by Prof. Bakul Dholakia, Director, IIM.

Amul today has 110 parlours in Ahmedabad city alone, 45 of them being managed by it independently. The parlour at IIM's campus would be keeping the entire range of Amul products, including the recently launched Amul Kool Café, Stamina – India's only sports drink, all the beverages, ice-creams, pizzas and Amul milk.

The purpose of creating a parlour at IIM is to prove nutritious dairy products to students, faculty, campus residents and high profile visitors to IIMs.

Shri B. M. Vyas, Managing Director, the Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd., India's largest food products marketing organization informed that Amul would soon set up such parlours at IIM, Kozhikode, IIT, Chennai and IIT and Guwahati. GCMMF is setting up such parlours all over the country in an effort to come closer to the consumer. So far it has set up 500 parlours all over the country.
