Bausch & Lomb Names Dwain Hahs President of Asia Region

Bausch & Lomb (NYSE:BOL) has named Dwain L. Hahs to be senior vice president and president of its Asia Region, effective May 1.

Hahs, 53, was most recently Bausch & Lomb corporate senior vice president and senior vice president - Global Operations & Engineering, a post that Gerhard Bauer, Ph.D., now assumes. Bauer, 50, has been Bausch & Lomb vice president of Global Operations & Engineering for Europe since 2001.

Over his 28 years at Bausch & Lomb, Hahs has held a variety of positions in sales, marketing and operations in North America and Europe including senior vice president - International Operations; executive vice president of the former sunglass business; and senior vice president and president - Global Vision Care. He has been senior vice president - Global

Operations & Engineering since 2000.

Hahs received a bachelor's degree in marketing from Southeast Missouri University in 1974 and completed the International Professional Management Program at Harvard University in 1991.

Hahs succeeds John M. Loughlin, 55, who is retiring from Bausch & Lomb after 25 years of service.
