Hyundai Verna Receives Accolades from the Industry

The all-new Hyundai Verna has bagged the prestigious title of "Car of the Year 2007" by India's leading automotive publication – Overdrive at the 8th OVERDRIVE AWARDS 2007, the “Best Mid-size Car of the Year” award by the NDTV Profit CNB – AAA Awards 2007 and the “Best Value for Money Car” by the CNBC Autocar Auto awards. The Hyundai Verna 1.5 CRDi is both fuel efficient as well as dynamic & versatile in performance.

Hyundai Verna was adjudged the 'Value for Money Car' among heavy weight contenders like the Honda Civic. The objective of this award is to judge the latest and hottest cars in India that offers the best value for money and satisfies all customers’ needs. The other nominees for the ‘Best Mid-size Car of the Year Award’ were Chevrolet AVEO & Chevrolet SRV. The top three contenders for the ‘Overdrive Car of the Year’ award in addition to the Hyundai Verna were the Honda Civic and the Chevrolet AVEO & U-VA.

The CNBC-TV18 Autocar Awards, NDTV Profit Car & Bile Awards & the Overdrive Awards are the most prestigious awards in the automobile sector. An annual feature the auto awards are, judged by an elite panel of judges comprising of acknowledged experts from within the racing fraternity and the senior members of the industry, as also knowledgeable auto enthusiasts from CII, ACMA and SIAM. The awards are instituted to recognize and honor excellence in the automotive field.
