Bangalore Hosts one of the Largest Exclusive Business-to-Business Jewellery Show

Bangalore, Karnataka, India , 2007-01-15

Mega malls, swanky retail outlets, creative window displays. This is the visible part of the retail revolution. What is unseen is the supply chain and logistics, which is an integral part of the retail success. This is true for all sectors including the jewellery trade. There is a growing need to provide retail trade with products with varying price points and designs.

To cater to this ever growing need of the jewellery trade, The Art of Jewellery, India’s No.1 jewellery magazine, in association with World Gold Council (WGC) & Gitanjali Group and supported by All India Gems and Jewellery Trade Federation, Jewellers Forum & Jewellers Association, Bangalore opens up a world of opportunities by presenting the ‘South India Jewellery Show – 2007’ (SIJS 2007), a business-to-business jewellery exhibition on jewellery, gems and allied products to be held in Bangalore from February 16-18, 2007.

This expo will be a high-end jewellery event with emphasis on latest designs, trends and technology. The SIJS 2007 will be a platform that would facilitate closer interaction between the retailers and the manufacturers. It will provide for a two-way traffic for business expansion.

Mr. K. Shivram, Vice President, World Gold Council said, “This Business-to-Business Exhibition is an attempt to address that long felt need in Karnataka, to bring the retail trade closer to various manufacturers of jewellery. This show promises to be the ideal forum for the jewellery fraternity to enhance their business and knowledge base as well.”

Golden Opportunity for Retailers:

The show will offer an excellent opportunity for the retailers to directly source from the manufacturers, thereby eliminating intermediaries. This event also allows for close interaction between manufacturing, wholesale and retail segments, thereby increasing profitability. The show provides an excellent opportunity to make new business connections, tie-ups, trade partnerships and most importantly offers a platform to make face to face contacts with the right people.

Manufacturers from Mumbai, Jaipur, Delhi, Junagadh, Meerut, Kolkata, Thrissur, Coimbatore, Bangalore, Hyderabad & Chennai will be showcasing a wide spectrum of jewellery under one roof at SIJS.

Mr. Sumesh Wadhera, Convenor – SIJS 2007 said, “The objective of SIJS is to perk up the supply chain in the jewellery trade keeping in pace with the retail revolution. It is going to be a huge platform for exchange of ideas, trends, designs from across India under one roof.
