Dare to dream

t is that time of the year when fresh-out-of-college types queue up before agencies or mass mail their CVs in search of their dream jobs. The task is not easy for the employer either. While a part of the advertising industry complain about the dearth of talent, others believe there�s enough of it going around - it just needs to be spotted and encouraged. So, how does a fresher crack it? And what kind of guidance do agencies provide?

"These days we receive CVs mostly by e-mail. Nevertheless, there are those who walk in, pleading for a job," says Benaifar Reporter, vice-president , human resources, Rediffusion | DY&R.; A fresher could be a summer trainee, who may work for free for four to eight weeks as part of a college project. Or he could be a management trainee, looking to work full time after a Masters degree. Reporter believes in hiring talent on the spot.
