Changing faucets�

ith personal hygiene and healthcare becoming a prime concern for more and more people, the shift towards all-round better living is becoming perceptible. After designer clothes and designer furniture, it is the turn of designer bathrooms. The hitherto dim, stark and by far utilitarian part of the Indian house has morphed into a swanky place of retreat for many city dwellers. And doing up bathrooms has emerged as a serious business in India.

Says Rupali Sebastian, executive editor, Better Interiors, "There is a definite shift in how a bathroom is perceived. From a mere functional space, it has now evolved into an �experience� space."
