innings in India. Though GM has been present in India for 8 years with Opel, it started seeing action only after it launched
Optra and Tavera under the Chevrolet banner.
The figures say it all. GM sold over 26,000 cars in 2004 as against just about 15,000 in the year before - a 73 per cent
jump. Less noticed than the new vehicles and the advertising has been the on-ground efforts the company has been making to
