Delhi-based PVR Cinemas, the pioneer in bringing multiplex movie screens to India, is now diversifying into the networking and distribution of movies. The movies mentioned above are just some of the pictures that the entertainment company will bring to India.

Says Sanjeev Bijli, executive director, PVR Cinemas, "The networking and distribution business is an intrinsic part of the same supply chain that holds cinema exhibition paramount. It is an obvious backward integration to widen the horizons related to entertainment." With films being specifically made keeping the �multiplex audience� in mind, the company is looking for more imported films, and distribution only makes a holistic picture in serving consumer demand. It will distribute these films only within the PVR network which currently consists of 39 screens in the Delhi region and in Bangalore.... more
