Buying is believing

bout 84 per cent of urban Indian consumers have participated in some form of sales promotion. Surprised? You wouldn�t be, if you remembered that free sampling of products, a free gift and even a scratch card, too are forms of brand promotion. But methods such as these have become so ubiquitous that we don�t even think of them as sales promotions any longer.

And while on the subject, do you know that nearly three fourths of urban consumers say they would prepone a buying decision if there was a promo? Or that three out of five actually enjoy writing a slogan? Or that four out of five consumers say they would try a new brand if there was an offer on it?... more
