ilmfare has formed the �Filmfare Fan Club� to be launched in Mumbai and Delhi in September 2005. Shweta Nadkarni, brand
manager for the magazine, says, "It will give fans an opportunity to become a part of the industry they so admire, rather
than being mere observers. It will bring them closer to the stars and cinema, in ways over and above the magazine, making the
magazine a little more tangible."
Filmfare claims that it will be the only Fan Club of its scale and type in India and for a nominal membership fee members
will be entitled to exclusive privileges such as face to face sessions with popular stars, free movie tickets through the
year, visits to film shoots, film workshops, special movie screenings along with stars of the movie as well as passes to the
Filmfare Awards.... more
