hennai-based Henkel Spic India Ltd (HSIL) has relaunched Fa, its brand of deodorants and soaps. This is the first major relaunch of the Rs 35-crore brand since its introduction in the year 2000. For the record, the Fa brand portfolio was tweaked in 2002 when the company launched a new variant in Wild Sandal and dropped Exotic from its portfolio. "The objective behind the (recent) relaunch is to bring to the Indian consumers the latest offering from Fa, to enhance its consumer base and gain shares in a highly cluttered and competitive environment," says Ranju Kumar Mohan, general manager, marketing, cosmetics and toiletries, HSIL.
As part of the relaunch, two new variants of deo sprays - Oxygen and Purity - have been introduced. Oxygen is an anti-perspirant deodorant which contains technology for fragrance release called "fircaps" and a skin-friendly formula, claims the company.
