NBC-TV18 recently laun-ched two interesting shows to generate some excitement on both its channels. Moneybhai Investor on Awaaz (CNBC's Hindi channel) is a virtual stock market game show, while Kaun Rahega Crorepati, which is on both the channels, is a talk or - in business-speak - consultancy show. There have been various programmes on business channels with call-ins ranging from consumer forums to big and small entrepreneurs to investors. CNBC is no exception. "With the two recent shows, we are trying to broad-base our viewership and, at the same time, deepen the relationship with our present viewers," says Ajay Chacko, marketing head, CNBC-TV18.

To start with, Moneybhai Investor was launched with the objective of making viewers learn while they earn. "The game format seeks to teach investors stock market details as they play the game and make money by way of real prizes, without actual loss of capital," says Chacko. It is a simulated real-time stock market game aimed at giving viewers and investors an easy and interactive platform.
