While the denomination can still buy a lot of things, the list of things it cannot has grown really, really long. Hutch is doing its bit for the purchasing power of the rupee now with its new Chota Recharge promotion.

It works like this. If a Hutch customer has exhausted her Rs 199 prepaid card (with 30 days' validity) in terms of value, she need not pay the access fee if she recharges the connection with Hutch's Chota Recharge. She also gets full talktime (after service tax is deducted). The new card is available for prepaid users of Hutch and Orange across all 13 Hutch circles in the country.... more
