Seeing orange

part from the tangy fruit which most people enjoy eating, the word orange probably reminds many of a particular telecom company. Mirinda wants that to change. In its bid to make people think orange and think Mirinda, its latest TVC reflects the obsession of a young man for this orange drink.

The TVC opens with the shot of a young man trying, unsuccessfully, to suck an orange table tennis ball with his head on the table. The next shot shows him in a clinic trying to suck an orange coloured flower. This time, there are people staring at him in surprise. In the next frame, the same person is shown trying to suck an orange coloured basketball on the court while the other players look on in shocked surprise. An orange tag in a woman's bag in a lift also brings on the same reaction. Next is the turn of an orange Beetle model on the table. This time he manages to move the little car and as he does, there is the sound of a car reversing. ... more
