Prepaid subscribers - whether GSM or CDMA - face a problem when it is time to recharge: they may have the talk time but the card"s date may have expired, or vice versa. The user has to recharge whether she is making a call or receiving one. A prepaid card is available with validity of one month, three months or a year in the case of Airtel, Hutch and Idea. Reliance"s prepaid card is valid for a maximum of two months. Tata Indicom"s latest offering is a brand new option that should prove attractive to prepaid CDMA users.
