Crediting debit

onsumer credit in the UK is supplied by a combination of banks, building societies, finance houses, insurance companies and retailers. The credit market, however, is dominated by Visa and MasterCard. With steadily falling interest rates, the main credit card providers are losing market share and are fighting each other to offer cheaper cards.

However, a recent study conducted by Research & Markets indicates that debit cards are increasingly becoming popular in the UK, as there is no scope for revolving credit in a debit card transaction.... more
