Gaining height

espite the large population of Black Americans and Hispanics, the Asian American community is making significant economic progress in the US. Even in suburban towns like Maryland, they are making their presence felt. The first Asian American Business Conference was held recently at Rockville, Maryland It was organised the Asia Pacific American chamber which already has 50 members and is in its second year of establishment.

The companies owned by Asians in America build revenue in greater proportion than other ethnic groups. This was one of the conclusions drawn at the conference. The members also observed that most Asian businesses are technologically advanced and have highly-paid employees. The economic boom of India and China in particular, has encouraged budding entrepreneurs in the US to participate more actively in their host economy.
