Just over two months into its launch in India, "video ring tones already form five per cent of the ring tone download market in value terms," says Arun Gupta, chief operating officer of Mumbai based Mauj Telecom, the only company in India to provide video ring tones.

The ring tone market in India is estimated at Rs 120 crore. Research reports expect the figure to go up to Rs 1,400 crore by 2010.
