survey conducted by Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and research firm Harris Interactive has made some surprising revelations. Turning popular opinion on its head, the study found that American respondents preferred traditional news media to newer ones.

The study titled "Executive, Congressional and Consumer Attitudes Toward Media, Marketing and the Public Relations Profession", polled 1,105 general consumers, 150 executives in leading companies and 150 senior staff members of the Congress. According to the study, at least seven in ten general consumers (71 per cent), congressional staffers (77 per cent) and executives (87 per cent) agree that they have a defined set of news sources that they trust and that they largely ignore other sources.... more
