In India, Nestl� has been one of those companies which embraced the health food aspect with open arms. Beginning last year, it has moved into this market aggressively introducing a plethora of health foods. The new catch line for Nestl� is 'Taste bhi, health bhi'. Today, it has skimmed milk, vegetable atta noodles, Nestl� Jeera raita, the new noodles with calcium and proteins and the new Maggi healthy soup.
Nestl�'s shift has not been sudden, says a company spokesperson, "Health and wellness have been part of the DNA of Nestl� since its inception in 1866. These factors have guided the innovation and renovation of our products."... more
