industan Lever Ltd (HLL) has launched what it claims to be the �ultimate disinfectant cleaner�. The new Domex Thick gives 100 per cent germ kill (when used undiluted) and is, therefore, classified as a disinfectant. "By using Domex Thick, you can be sure that all known germs are destroyed, extending a hygienically clean environment to you and your family," the company promises. Priced at Rs 22 for a 500-ml bottle, the latest multi-purpose cleaner is dramatically more affordable than the earlier avatar, Domex Power Cleaner, which came for Rs 40 every half litre.

Back in October 2002, HLL had said it was planning to extend the Domex brand by introducing �proxy� upgrades - the most obvious being a combination of phenyl and detergent - in another two years.
