Script a movie

n an unusual leap from print to motion picture production, Glamour magazine held a contest in which readers were asked to send in their stories to be adapted to short films. Called Reel Moments, these films varied between five and 15 minutes in length, and were made available on a specially created website. The five films produced by Glamour have titles like Gnome, Little Black Dress and Wait.

Brands like Mercury, Elizabeth Arden, Nokia and Bebe sponsored the promotion. The catch was that each of the movies contained subtle product placement from the sponsors. Glamour claims that sponsors also had the advantage of encouraging women-scripted films, allowing them to reach out to their audience through an unconventional medium. ... more
