gilvy & Mather has launched its Complete Out of Home business unit, Ogilvy Activation, in Mumbai. The new venture aims to consolidate the agency�s four independent out-of-house (OOH) activities under one banner. The divisions are: Ogilvy Landscapes specialises in outdoors; Ogilvy Out-reach in reaching rural India and the low income consumer; Ogilvy Live in ground level brand communication; Ogilvy Sign-scapes is the retail brand identity unit.
Announcing the consolidation of its services to the press, John Goodman, chief executive officer, Ogilvy & Mather India and South Asia, said, "Our clients want solutions which work ever closer with the customer, delivering real sales value. Activation will deliver this promise at the sharp end of marketing." Ogilvy Activation is being billed as a developer and enhancer of brand-consumer relationships �at the last mile�. The broader objective includes seeing Ogilvy Activation emerge as �a catalyst for change in the area of OOH in the Asia-Pacific region�.
