Indigo Nation from Indus-League Clothing, recently organised a speed dating event in Bangalore while GO
92.5 FM with Mentos, arranged a similar do in Mumbai.
Speed dating is an event where an equal number
of women and men are made to sit across a table and given five minutes to get to know each other better.
At the end of the meeting, they fill in a scorecard, ticking 'interesting' if they want to meet their
partner again or 'not happening'. After every five minutes, partners are changed. At the end of the
speed dating session, the participants drop off their scorecards with the hosts. The following day, the
organiser of the event sends each participant an e-mail with the first name and e-mail address of those
who 'matched'. A match happens when two people tick each other as 'interesting'. These events are
