n a study that may alter the plans of many research firms, Points North Group and Horowitz Associates, Inc., found out that consumers would prefer to get free on-demand TV programmes and endure commercials rather than pay $1.99 (Rs 88) for programmes without commercials.

Of the people surveyed, 62 per cent said they would rather catch up on missed TV shows through internet or cable if they could get it for free, including commercials, rather than pay for it.
