A timely revamp

ver since US-timekeeper Timex broke away from its tie-up with Titan, it has been keeping a low profile. But now, with an active marketing strategy in place and ambitious expansion plans, the company wants to dramatically increase its presence.

To achieve that target, Timex is riding on a two-pronged strategy. One, it is revamping its watches, focusing on more technologically advanced, more expensive timepieces. Two, it is strengthening its distribution end by beefing up its retail strategy.... more
