iehard radio fans have another reason to cheer. Radio City has ventured into a concept which, till now, seemed to be the preserve of television. The station has started a new programming insert which it claims is exclusive to only Radio City. The initiative called Breaking Songs is a section in which listeners will get to hear the yet-to-be released songs from the Indian music industry.

The term Breaking Song, as is evident, was inspired from every news channel's favourite phrase 'Breaking News'. According to Vikas Varma, national head programming, Radio City, "It is like Breaking News. There is no particular time when a news is being broken on television. Similarly we have not fixed any time slot for breaking songs. It is more like - as we get it we play it." ... more
