And to make the delivery snappy, it's given up the ubiquitous scooter that MNC food chains use, for the humble bicycle.
Explains Vikram Bakshi, joint vice-president and managing director, McDonald's India (North), "Keeping in view the accessibility factor of Chandni Chowk, we felt that scooters would not allow us to deliver the orders on time. So, we looked at other alternatives and finally zeroed in on bicycles." According to Bakshi, "This will be a traditional and eco-friendly way of delivering to the residents of the area."... more
