pice telecom, an active telecom service provider in Punjab, has decided to diversify and broaden its horizons by foraying into the entry and mid-level handset market. Says Kunal Ahooja, CEO, Spice Telecom: "We want to build a strong value proposition with customers and establish it as an aspirational brand for the masses." The brand offering will lend consumers a 'Style International Dil, Phir Bhi Indian' experience."

The brand targets 15-40-year-olds in the SEC B, C and D groups. What's more, Spice promises to provide users the benefits of a high-end phone at entry level prices. For instance, some of the phones even act as a pen drive. The memory of the phone can be used to store all types of data - word, PowerPoint, excel, pdf, jpeg, gif or zip. Storage, of course, is subject to the memory available in the phone. All the phones are available between Rs 2,499 and Rs 5,799.... more
