From telephone bookings to web bookings to SMS bookings to web check-ins - there has been a constant effort to save the consumer's time. The latest effort in this direction is Jet Airways' Kiosk Check-in facility.
Such facilities are offered in most airports abroad but it is a first in India. Beginning this month, Jet has set up two kiosks in Mumbai, one in Delhi and one in Bangalore. By the end of the year, it plans to have 30 kiosks in the metros and mini metros. Each kiosk costs around $10,000(Rs 4.5 lakh).... more
