koda Auto India recently launched its luxury sedan, Superb. Skoda Auto, a Volkswagen group company, plans to sell 500 units of the Superb, which is priced at Rs 23.45 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), in the current year. "Superb is among the most successful products from Skoda�s worldwide stable," says Imran Hassen, managing director, Skoda Auto India. The company plans to introduce a diesel variant of Superb by the yearend.

The company wants the car to be known for its opulence and style quotients. The Superb comes with a 2.8-litre, 190-bhp, V6 petrol engine, and is based on the B5 platform of the Volkswagen Group. The car is available in two colours, Sahara Beige and Black Magic. It comes equipped with power seats, airbags, a trip computer and a digital sound system. It also has an �auto� airconditioner, heating elements and a steering wheel that is adjustable for reach and height.
