f the new report from PQ Media (www.pqmedia.com) a company that collects what it calls 'media intelligence' is to be believed, the placement of products in films, television, video games and songs will triple by 2010. The market for product placements is set to grow from its current $2.21 billion a year to $7.6 billion by 2010.

This is definitely an indicator of how product placements have evolved from only a marketing tactic to a key marketing strategy on a global scale. The report states that the practice will be driven by advertising inserted into sports, reality programming and drama on television. ... more
