n an effort to touch the lives of millions of the underprivileged and below the poverty line individuals in our country, the corporate sector has in its own way been advocating help through various means. In other words fulfilling their Corporate Social Responsibility. Be it big corporates like Infosys, Wipro and ABB or the smaller ones like Havell to name a few, each one has extended a helping hand in building many lives.

CNBC TV18's new show launched on Friday, October 13 is capturing these initiatives and bringing them to the notice of the millions of viewers through a regular half an hour programme. The programme hosted by Shereen Bhan will travel from the metros to the heart of rural India, meeting the business institutions and individuals making a difference to the lives of the underprivileged. The first episode dedicated to the problem of 'Hunger' was about how the Infosys Foundation, ABB and Havell have been helping lakhs of children below the age of 14 years through their mid-day meal programme with AkshayPatra, a non-profit organisation based out of Karnataka. ... more
