n an attempt by Time Inc. to become a fast-growing content company, the TransWorld magazines that it just put up for sale look poised for some rapid expansion. The TransWorld Media division of Time4Media is about to introduce an ad-supported, TransWorld-branded action sports channel on Heavy.com. TransWorld Media intends to become a multimedia company.

The move, hopes TransWorld executives, will help its brand and content find a broader audience as its chief subjects, high action sports such as snowboarding gain wider acceptance.... more
