Fast food redefined

ast food is mostly associated with international chains such as McDonalds, KFC, Dominos and Pizza Hut. And even if one can categorise gol gappas and pao bhajis as Indian fast food, it is difficult to ever think of North Indian food can be served as fast food. But not anymore. Pulse Foods India which is a greenfield hospitality venture of the Poddar Heritage Group, has started a chain of restaurants called pulse which offers dining in a quick service restaurant (QSR) format.

Pulse Foods was launched approximately two and half years ago in Noida, near Delhi. Neeraj Jain, chief executive officer, Pulse Foods, says, "We believe that our core differentiator is clean, hygienic environment offering a standardised, tasty, all-day menu." ... more
