ven while the Cola companies are fighting to save face on the pesticide issue, PepsiCo has gone ahead and launched a new variant of its clear drink, 7UP. The variant called the 7UP Lemon Bite has been inspired by the very Indian 'nimbu paani' (lime juice).

To support the launch, 7UP Lemon Bite has a new TV commercial in place. The ad is shot in a dhaba setting, where a number of trucks have been parked with their drivers stopping for lunch. Each truck has a lime and chilli combination called nimbu mirch hung on it (an Indian symbol to ward off evil). Suddenly, one of the truck driver notices that the nimbu (lemon) that was hung on his truck is missing. ... more
