TAR is back with its trump card. Its money - and TRP-spinning show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) - which was yanked off the air abruptly because of Amitabh Bachchan's sudden illness - will make a comeback in January 2007. This time KBC will be without Bachchan, in whose place comes Shah Rukh Khan.

The spectacular story of KBC began in 2000 with an initial run of 309 episodes. Then there was a break after which it came roaring back as KBC 2, with a bigger prize money and another 52 episodes. Both seasons sent STAR's TRPs soaring, helped in no small measure by the Bachchan magic. ... more
