anon is best known for its cameras but the company also manufactures and sells digicams, video camcorders, printers, faxes, copiers and projectors. Though it has been around in India for over 10 years now, the brand is not as well known as that period would suggest.

That aspect is in for a correction now as the company wants to "Indianise" the brand. For this, it has signed up Sachin Tendulkar as its first Indian corporate brand ambassador. Tendulkar is not Canon's first Indian face, however. The process started earlier this year when Canon India signed on Atul Kasbekar, the renowned photographer as the brand ambassador for its professional range of cameras.
