This time around however, he's peddling an SMS campaign along with the mint candy. The commercial has been conceptualised and filmed by Perfetti Van Melle's agency McCann Erickson.
The paanwallah commercial has probably been Chlor-mint's most successful and recalled campaign till date. Not only did the TVC rake up a Silver AAAI Award in 2000, it also inspired a slew of spoof ads for rival Clorets. The commercial was a radical departure from earlier Chlor-mint campaigns which were marked by deadpan humour.
