here was a time when websites were considered digital brochures of a company. Often they were exactly that - replicas of their print brochures. But corporates have realised that an online address can be much more and the emphasis should be on involving the visitor with its brands. The result? Corporate websites have become savvier, snazzier and user-friendly as well.

"Websites initially started as PO boxes for companies - a nice item in the to-do lists of most corporate communication guys. The dot com bust also kept websites out of the radars of most of them.
