ideocon is using germs to sell its home electronics products. No mothers fighting to guard their kids. No doctor dads lecturing their families on the benefits of freshitarianism and all that. Just a smart script and a straggly-haired character.
A whole host of marketers - from the humble disinfectant cleaner to the fancy toothpastes and soaps - have used pests of various dimensions in their ads. But Videocon�s germs are different. They are claymated. So while the claymated �Mr Germ� makes an appearance in both its airconditioner and refrigerator ads, the TVC for the company�s new refrigerator with anti-bacterial lining is based entirely on the travails of this green creature in a bow tie and a black patch over one eye.
