V18 Group's internet arm, Web18, has acquired a majority stake in Bigtree Entertainment, a company which provides entertainment ticketing applications and solutions. With that acquisition, Web18 hopes to strengthen its presence in the e-transaction space. The company already owns portals such as tech2.com and cricketnext.com and has a major stake in Jobstreet.com, an e-recruitment portal and Yatra.in, which provides online travel services.
