Let the music play

bhishek Bachchan (AB) is at the receiving end again. And again a Motorola phone is responsible for it. In the last TVC, a couple of girls ignore AB, but are rather wowed by his MOTOSLVR cellphone. This time too, in a new TVC for MOTOROKR - that Motorola launched in India last month - he can't get his dialogues right, while shooting.

The TVC has clich�d scenes from a typical Bollywood film: A wailing mother praying to God, "Hey Ishwar, aaj mujhe mere bete se milwana hi hoga"; A Mughal king (Akbar), announcing, "Jung ka ailaan ho"; a woman telling her husband/boyfriend, "Meri kokh mein jo bachcha hai who tumhara nahin, tumhare dost ka hai"; a policeman interrogating a con, "Bata heere kahan chuppa rakhe hain tune." AB has got music stuck on his mind and much to his co-actors and his director's surprise, breaks into a dance and sings out his dialogues in response to the above queries. His director asks him to "Take a break." Flustered and back in his green-room, he prefers to listen to music on his MOTOROKR, than oblige his make-up man. Even the song he's listening, is all praise for the new phone, which "stores up to 1,500 songs...." The parting shot shows AB lying as a dead character, when suddenly his head breaks into rhythmic jerks.... more
