or long, the UAE has been on the radar for most TV channels. It is only in the last two years that Western countries have become hot. Government-owned Doordarshan, present in the SAARC regions so far, is the latest to go to the UK with DD India and DD News.

The other channels which have stakes in Western countries are NDTV, STAR, Sony Entertainment Television (SET), Aaj Tak and the ZEE Network. The advertising pie is becoming tempting too.... more
