ome brand names have become synonymous with the products or services they offer. It is not uncommon to overhear people asking for Xerox (meaning photocopying) or for Cadbury (meaning chocolate, of course). Imagine being handed out a bubblegum when you ask for Cadbury next time. Surprised? That's what Cadbury India, the maker of Dairy Milk and other popular chocolate brands, has launched recently in India � the Bubbaloo brand of bubblegum.

Bubbaloo was launched in 1977 worldwide and, as per the company, it is the world's first soft bubblegum. Speaking on why Cadbury took so long to launch the product in India, Sanjay Purohit, director marketing, Cadbury India says, "India today is one of the fastest growing gum markets in the world and we saw massive potential." Bubbaloo, along with Halls and �clairs, will compliment Cadbury's confectionery portfolio. Purohit further adds, "As we enter a new category, we have to learn the technology, learn about the raw materials and how to market it.
