Retail Channel

elevision viewing is gradually moving into retail outlets. The latest entrant in the in-store television network is the Future Group, with Future TV, a television channel aimed at shoppers within the consumption premises. It claims to be the first retailer-owned television channel in the country and will focus on transforming footfalls into eyeballs by engaging the consumers with 42-inch LCD screens.

The channels operate from a network operating centre in Mumbai. At present, Future TV is being aired in Future Group stores in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore. The initial phase will see the launch of 1,000 screens across the top eight metros and a total of 10,000 screens will be launched over the next year and a half. ... more
