aking DTH a step beyond television, the Essel Group-owned dishtv has launched a set-top-box (STB) that is compatible with both television sets and desktop computers.

The new STB or the VGA (video graphics array) box can be connected to the CPU through the VGA port, without the use of a TV-tuner card, which was traditionally required to watch TV on a PC. According to the company, the boxes are different from the TV-tuner card. While the TV-tuner card will still need a cable connection, along with chances of poor reception quality, the VGA box scores for its digital quality.... more
