s an aftermath of the controversy surrounding food advertisement targeting children, producers of the Qubo block of kids shows, on air on the NBC and Telemundo networks have vowed to concentrate on airing television commercials that advertise only nutritious food products. Advertisement will be regulated for three hours; the slot during which children's programmes are aired.

The idea is to protect children from health hazards caused by exposure to under nutritious food and the consumption of such food products. The move is a precursor, indicative of the precautions that programming for children will entail. ... more
